A letter to my daughters

A letter to my daughters

Who are these ladies? My former dance students from Chicago Vocational H.S. (my alma mater) CVS Dancing Dolls is a dance team that visually compliments the marching band through creative dance. Being a DD alum myself, I volunteered many days and nights to help revive school spirit. Which inspired me enough to become a Certified Dance Coach/Choreographer.

Feels just like yesterday when I rushed through traffic from work to teach daily practice. We shared plenty laughs as I taught different dance routines, the importance of sisterhood, lady like behavior and those oh so random life lessons. When it was SHOWTIME, each and every one of you without a doubt, showed out. I want to thank you for the honor of being your instructor. For some students, our time was cut short, but we truly shared great experiences together which does my heart good. You've embodied Cavalier pride to a level in which I have and that was the goal. To build up while giving back. Never will I forget the faces in the crowd as you all marched in the Morgan Park H.S. talent showcases, parades and of course the CVS homecoming games. Always be the greatest version of yourself, nuture your talent, focus on your goals and continue to excel in and out of school. For every "no", build a detour path towards "Yes"! Much love, peace, happiness and success be unto you.
